Appeal by the claimant from a decision of the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Board disqualifying him for benefits effective April 16, 1966 on the ground he voluntarily left his employment without good cause (Labor Law, Γ§ 593, subd. 1). On March 18, 1966 claimant was notified that he had passed the written part of an examination for the position of an Internal Revenue Agent. Expecting fairly immediate appointment claimant submitted his resignation on March 20, 1966 to his then employer effective April 15, 1966. When the appointment did not materialize as expected, claimant filed for unemployment benefits. What constitutes ""good cause"" is a question of fact and is thus within the sole province of the board if its determination is supported by substantial evidence (e. g., Matter of Kansky [ Catherwood ], 27 A.D.2d 887).
